Telehealth Practice Only

Meet Therapist Cherish

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in psychotherapy, with advanced clinical training and experience in the assessment, diagnostic formulation, and treatment of mental health conditions. My clinical practice utilizes evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, individualized treatment planning, and ongoing clinical assessment to address psychological, emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal concerns. Treatment is tailored to each individual's presenting concerns, clinical needs, strengths, and goals, with an emphasis on measurable progress, functional improvement, and sustainable outcomes.

I believe effective psychotherapy begins with understanding the whole person—not simply a diagnosis. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is respectful, collaborative, and grounded in clinical knowledge while remaining responsive to each individual's unique needs, values, and goals.

I was raised in Idaho and have called this beautiful state home my entire life. Outside of my professional work, I am a practicing Catholic and a mom of three, although my oldest is now in college—which is an exciting milestone! I genuinely enjoy the outdoors and staying active with my family. I enjoy hiking, fishing, exploring, traveling, campfires, bike riding, swimming, skiing, and attending my kids' activities are some of the ways I enjoy spending my time. I also enjoy daily mass, rosary time, adoration and other parish activities. My faith is very important to me.

I also have a personal faith-based ministry focused on helping young adults through free supportive services that is time limited to 16-week sessions. In addition, I founded Shalom Clinic, Inc., a nonprofit that is preparing to open and will provide free, faith-based counseling to individuals who are terminally or chronically ill or living with disabilities that make it difficult for them to leave their homes.

Of course, no biography of me would be complete without mentioning the rest of my household! I am also the proud (and occasionally exhausted) caretaker of four rescue cats: Meatloaf, Kitty Anna Jones, Mang-A-Rang, and St. Gertrude, along with one unusually large rescue guinea pig named St. Carmel. Between the kids, the cats, and the guinea pig, there is rarely a dull moment. My household has taught me that patience is important, flexibility is essential, and sometimes the best response to chaos is simply to laugh.

If you have found yourself here, you may already be taking an important first step toward healing. I invite you to reach out when you are ready. I would be happy to walk alongside you on your healing journey.

Telehealth-Based Care

Northwest Counseling Services PLLC is a telehealth-only psychotherapy practice, allowing patients to participate in treatment from the privacy and comfort of their own homes. Telehealth can reduce barriers associated with travel, transportation, mobility, scheduling, and time away from work or family responsibilities. For many patients, receiving therapy from a familiar environment can also provide greater comfort and continuity of care.

A telehealth model allows treatment to be integrated more naturally into everyday life while maintaining a professional, confidential therapeutic setting. It can be particularly helpful for individuals with demanding schedules, limited mobility, transportation challenges, or those who simply prefer the accessibility and convenience of virtual care.

My goal is to make high-quality psychotherapy accessible while maintaining the same clinical professionalism, individualized treatment, confidentiality, and therapeutic focus expected from an in-person practice.
